On clothing you can always be creative. The fur on this giant comes from baby ducklings. This big guy is actually a wrestler. I modified him from a six foot athlete to a sixty foot monster wrecking mayhiem! Trees are very easy. If you notice, these two trees are actually made up of only three different branches. I did a lot of cut and pace work here. These boards were taken from the inn and drawn at different angles. By giving it a blur it looks like its being crushed beneath the giants foot. This smog was made entirely from a drifting cloud I found in the background. Both of these houses are the same. One is just fliped over from the other. This pathed road actually leads to a lighthouse up in Maine. Originaly there were rocks on both sides. Ok, the grass I just simply copied over and over again, using a texture. By adding various twigs in different directions I got it to look real. A cat named Snow was sitting in this basket. She wouldn't get out for my picture, so I had to replace her with apples. This is what clothing can look like if you use low oppacity when you draw it in. By using shadowing you are able to get the desired effect on skin surfaces. The main trick with bush textures is shadowing. By darkening the bottom areas and different branches you get more dept. When drawing people always give bright colors so they stand out. You can do this by darken, lightening, or playing with RGB options. This poor guy was lifting dumbels at some gym, little did he know that he would be fighting a giant. On backgrounds alway phase your settings together by double drawing your sky over your mountains with a low oppacity. This sky is made up of various clouds I put in. You can draw your own, use several pictures. This vest is actually made up of someone's leather boot.

Nature

TREES & FORRESTS

The main secret with trees is shadowing. Most of the trees you see are just leaves and branches cloned together. But it's the shadowing that gives it depth. (For PSP7 just go to the RETOUCH menu and select DARKEN RGB)
GRASS & FOILAGE

Grass and foilage can make a picture come to life. The important issue is blending them. But once again, all you have to have is a few drawn or illustrated twigs and vines. The rest is cloning. (To do this go to the CLONE BRUSH menu and put the oppacity on 20. Once you have your projected spots, gradually draw in the foilage softly and then reinforce in its center.)
ROCKY COASTS

This picture was originally a cliff edge. I used a rock texture to give it a jagged effect. This is one of the many advantages of painting with textures. Nowadays you can litterally paint with "bricks", thus giving the artist more time to play.(The texture menu bar is on your TOOLS BAR. Bare in mind that any picture you load can be used as a texture. You can also create your own.)

Civilizations

VILLAGES

This was originally a German cottage of a daytime picture. By phasing out the numerous tourists, tinting the walls and altering the contrast, I got my effect of a peaceful inn. The boat, road, and sky were all drafted in later.
CASTLES

This castle was made entirely from the front tower. By duplicating it and changing the size, I was able to create the other two. The center walls were then drawn in later. Shadowing the different angles is what gives it depth.
CITIES

Sci-fi cities are actually very fun and you can use so much to construct them. This city was made up from selected pieces of the battleship New Jersey. By taking various chunks you can litterally redesign the structure. Keep in mind that the same can be done for a regular building. You can litterally slice and dice and then reconstruct it. Just be careful of the new shadowing angles.

Horizons

SKIES

One tip for skies is to always try to blend the land with the air, by either using faded colors as in the giant picture above, or to soften the edges by slightly double drawing over the edges. Another suggestion, is to try to draw or clone your clouds from numerous sources. This will create a rather beautiful blend with clouds. If you're a photographer and wish to merge your own pictures into effect, then use the SMUDGE option to get rid of any photo graininess.
SUNSETS

Sunsets for artist just about always set a mood. The best way to enhance your art whether drawn manually or by use of digital source is to go to the various tinting options for greater spectrum of colors. (On PSP7 these are all located in COLORS under the submenu ADJUST.
MOONSCAPES

Moons and planets are very plentiful if you simply wish to graft one. This one was drawn with textures. To do so just go to your FREEHAND SELECTER and set for circle, select PAINTBRUSH or FLOOD FILL and then fill with you choice texture. The rest is all shadowing.
